California - A007 ETF (schematic)
Overview
This EP1plus System (ETF) for California was designed to meet the state specific requirements for electronic child check systems. Below you will find the schematic as well as key operational features and additional support information to assist with your installation.

Installation Schematic A007 ETF
- The emergency door Buzzer circuit can be utilized to transmit the deactivation signal from RVT button to the module. The red wire on the RVT should be connected in this configuration to stop feedback onto the door buzzers.
- If there is no Buzzer circuit please use a direct connection from the RVT blue wire to the EP1plus blue wire
- The brown activation wire is typically connected to the red overhead lights or another 12V source (eg. brakes).
Operation Features
- Activates automatically when the ignition is turned on.
- Deactivates in Key OFF position
- Horn will sound for 30 minutes if child-check is not done
- Doors monitored and need to remain closed during deactivation
- Parking brake is monitored and must be set before ignition is turned off (see note below)
- 3 minutes to perform the child check
- Can wait in accessory for up to 4 minutes (can be extended by cycling the key)
- To silence the horn cycle the key on and then back to off
If the parking brake is not connected, the horn will sound during deactivation and the system will not operate correctly. If the parking brake connection is to be omitted for your organization please follow the installation notes on the schematic to make the appropriate connection.
