g. An electronic “child check” monitor shall be installed. This monitor shall operate in such a way as to require the driver to physically walk to the back of the bus to disengage the monitor system after having first shut off the engine of the bus.

Operation Features for A007 EPA:
  • Activation by the 8-way overhead red lights (or another 12V source)
  • Deactivates in Key ON position 
  • Unlimited time to perform the child check
  • Horn will sound for 5 minutes if the Child-Check is not completed
  • To silence the alarm, cycle the key off and then back to on
Optional Features
  • Dome lights will illuminate for 2 minutes after deactivation 
  • Can wait in Accessory position for up to 2 minutes (can be extended by cycling the key)
