Troubleshooting: Magnetized Magnetic Switches

This information was discovered with the help of  Uplands Sound Shop, Creative Bus, and  Hi-Cam

We saw this today with a great team in California. While installing magnetic switches, one of the switches was giving a false signal (the door appeared to always be opened). As it turned out, there was too much steel, and (we think) it was because the screws that were being used were magnetizing the switch. It may also have been due to the steel content in the body.

Keep this in mind when using magnetic switches!
