PASSENGER ADVISORY SYSTEM All Kentucky school buses shall be equipped with a passenger advisory system. This system shall be armed by the operation of the eight-way light system. When the key is placed in the off position the dome lights shall be activated. The driver will have sixty seconds to walk to the rear of the bus and deactivate the system by either raising the rear emergency door handle or pressing a button on the rear bulkhead. The system will confirm the system deactivation by turning off or flashing the dome lights. If the driver fails to deactivate the system the headlights will flash and the horn will sound.

Operation Features for A007 EPC:
- Activation by the 8-way overhead red lights (or another 12V source)
- Deactivates in Key OFF position
- Front door is monitored and must be closed during deactivation
- 1 minute to perform the child check
- Horn will sound for 5 minutes if the child check is not done
- To silence the alarm, cycle the key off and then back to on
- Dome lights illuminate for 2 minutes after deactivation
- Can wait in Accessory position for up to 4 minutes (can be extended by cycling the key)

Operation Features for A007 EPK:
- Activation occurs automatically after the ignition has been on for 10 minutes OR by use of the 8-way overhead red lights, whichever occurs first.
- Deactivates in Key OFF position
- 1 minute to perform the child check
- The door is monitored and needs to remain closed during deactivation
- The dome lights will illuminate for 1 minute after deactivation
- The dome lights will flash twice to confirm deactivation
