Is AEGIS safe if is in contact with food?
"Microban® has antimicrobial protection technologies that are listed by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) as additives which may be used in the manufacture of plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. They are also registered with the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) in the United States of America.
Once integrated into food-contact articles, Microban® antimicrobial technology can work to inhibit the growth of bacteria that is commonly responsible for foodborne illness such as Campylobacter and Salmonella."
